Tropical End of Year Party

We officially ended our 07'-08' school year. Liv did her state testing and that was reason to celebrate, thus the tropical themed party!

We started with some great Hawaiin outfits complete with hula skirts, flower tops and necklaces, and we couldn't resist the straw hats!

Then we invited some good company. Here are the girls with their grandpa. We also had a couple grandma's, great grandma's, and an uncle.

We had some fancy punch to drink along with bbq chicken kabobs, salads, chips, and fruit.

And ended with some good music to dance to!

Looks like a lot of fun!

How DO you come up with these ideas? Plus to have the energy to DO it!

The girls love parties.

So we usually do tea parties, host parties for grandparents (fancy foods, serving dishes, and the best manners, lol), and bbq's. We host fun come-as-you-are parties where we call people and they have to show up exactly as they were when we called them. You should see some of the funny outfits and hair do's we see! We have had 50's parties with the poodle skirts, music, etc. I think it's cute to let the girls host them. So they chose a tropical theme this time. They happened to have the stuff at the dollar store so it was easy to do. :)

Audra, remember my kids want to have a family like yours? That must mean you are doing something right, lol.
