Beach Party VBS 2008

We survived VBS week! From July 13th through the 17th we stretched ourselves to limits we otherwise don't care to do. We got up early, stayed late, and played harder than we normally would.

We headed up the mountain each day for the kids to spend the week exploring the word of God and building a closer relationship with Him. They sang songs, did crafts, had bible time, explored science activities, played sports, and made lots of friends. On the final day they put on a terrific show for all the parents and volunteers while we enjoyed a barbecue.

Their favorite activity of the week was water day. With 107 kids all equipped with water guns, water balloons, swimming pools, slip and slides, and whales covered in shaving cream just waiting to be cleaned up what wouldn't make that the top activity?

Their other favorites were the water wave bottles made in science, singing around the campfire pit, and the life size chess games.

While my children were enjoying all these fun activities I had the pleasure of leading the four and under group. What an experience that was to have that many little ones all day long!!! That could be a whole other blog post, lol.

Just watching all those little ones running around wore Quinn out.
